IMPORTANT SECURITY INFORMATION
Your vessel must be in compliance with the ISPS code to be allowed to berth in Mo i Rana. If you are not in full compliance with the code, you need to contact the local Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) prior to berthing. Non-compliance could result in your vessel not being allowed to berth, or being allowed to do so only after the implementation of extraordinary security measures.
Your agent will be able to give relevant security information and to forward any information to the correct port authority. The agent will also be able to provide Port Visitor's cards when required. If necessary, you can contact the port security organisation directly (contact information on the reverse side of this sheet).
All personnel with legal access to the terminal will be carrying visible identity cards at all times. Any disembarking member of your crew must carry a visible identity card whilst inside the terminal area, and a Port Visitor's card when exiting and entering the terminal. Any member of your crew must expect to be under video surveillance when appearing on deck or on shore.
A Declaration of Security (DOS) will be issued at times of raised security levels or when other circumstances necessitate it. You may also request a DOS to be issued even when operating at security level 1 and there is no specific reason for concern. Such requests should be submitted to the agent in advance, and no later than Friday at 11 a.m. if you expect to arrive during a weekend. No other documents than the DOS will be acknowledged by the port security organisation.
If you require the port to raise its security level, or any specific security measures not ordinarily in operation, you will be liable to cover all costs arising from your request. Any such costs will be in addition to the general security fee that the terminal may charge.
Urgent security communications regarding the specific terminal should be directed to the Assisting PFSO of the terminal. Urgent general security communications should be directed to the PFSO. He should also be contacted if the Ass. PFSO is unavailable.
